AGM & Talk
Posted in Uncategorized | 1 Response
I spent over an hour at the station talking to staff and looking at the exhibits.
The site has easy access from the cycle path and from the A368 at Sandford. I walked from Winscombe village a flat walk of about 15 minutes along the old railway track, stone bridges are still intact (free parking in Winscombe) The station is just a few minutes away from the local pub in Sandford to have lunch.
Over a cup of coffee I talked to the well informed staff, donations are welcomed. The whole restoration project has been well thought out and very professionally done. I was very impressed with the layout of the exhibits. The railway carriage no doubt in the future will have more information in it for visitors to see. To any railway ‘buff’ a must visit. Thank you all.
